当thousand前面有数字的时候，用来说明几千的时候，thousand不带s。

我们学校有两千名学生。

当thousand后面有一个of时，说明是成千上万的时候，thousand要加s。

例：There are thousands of students in our school.

我们学校有成千上万的学生。
