上午。am=a.m.，全称ante meridiem，与morning同为表示早上、上午的意思，a.m.多用于书面语。AM是一天中的午前，也就是12点之前，即0:00-11:59:59。PM是一天中的午后，12点之后，即12:00-23:59:59。

a.m.的用法：

1、不能与 in the morning 连用，如：

正：at 7 a.m.在上午七点

正：at 7 (o’clock) in the morning 在上午七点

误：at 7 a.m.in the morning

2、不单独使用，要与表示时间的数字连用 (置于数字之后)，如：

I’ll comeat 10:20 a.m.我将明天上午10点20分来。

3、不能与 o’clock 连用.如：

正：at 9 a.m.在上午九点

误：at 9 o’clock a.m.

4、不仅可作状语,而且可作定语，如：

the 8 a.m.train from London.从伦敦开来的上午8点的列车。
